Engraved stainless steel is the permanent option for identification in tough places. The marking is made by laser into the metal itself, so heat, weather, cleaning and handling do not remove it. Use it for plant and equipment tags, cable and pipe identification, switchgear and machine nameplates, and outdoor or coastal installations.

Questions about engraved metal tags
What are engraved metal tags used for?
Asset and equipment ID, cable and pipe marking, valve tags, switchgear and machine nameplates, and any place a paper or printed label would not last. The marking is cut into the metal, so it does not peel, fade or wash off.
What is the difference between 304 and 316 stainless steel?
304 suits most indoor and general outdoor use. 316 contains molybdenum, which makes it more resistant to salt and chemicals, so it is the better choice near the coast, in marine areas and in washdown or chemical environments.
Can I put a logo, QR code or serial numbers on a tag?
Yes. The designer lets you add your own text, a logo, a QR code or a numbered series, and shows a live preview before you order.
How is the text marked on the metal?
With a fibre laser, which marks the surface permanently. It is not a sticker or a printed layer.
Can I order a few tags, or only large batches?
