Two materials, one designer
- Engraved two-colour plastic: white, black, blue, red, yellow and green faces, in 1.6 mm and 0.7 mm. See Traffolyte labels.
- Engraved stainless steel: 304 or 316, 0.5 mm or 1.0 mm, in tag and plate sizes from 25 mm discs to 150 × 50 mm plates. See metal tags.
- Brushed metal look: gold and silver plastic for signs and nameplates.
Made for plant, equipment and assets
Nameplates identify machines, switchgear, valves, pumps and tools, and carry the information a technician needs on site. Engraving cuts the text into the plate, so it survives cleaning, handling and years of use. Add a QR code to link a plate to a maintenance record, or a numbered series for an asset register.
Questions about nameplates
What goes on an equipment nameplate?
Usually the machine or asset name, model, serial or asset number, and any ratings or contact details you need. You supply the text, and you can add a logo or QR code.
Should I choose plastic or stainless steel?
Two-colour engraved plastic is cost-effective and readable indoors and in most outdoor uses. Stainless steel 304 suits general outdoor use, and 316 is better near the coast or around salt and chemicals.
How do I fix a nameplate to equipment?
Mounting holes can be added at one end, both ends or the top, and you choose the hole size in the designer. Many people fix plates with screws, rivets or adhesive.
Are these certified compliance plates?
We engrave the text you supply. If a plate must carry a regulated or approved marking, make sure the content meets the requirement before you order, because the responsibility for the wording stays with you.
Can I order serial-numbered plates?
Yes. The designer builds numbered series, and you can import a list from a spreadsheet for a batch of different plates.
